MUSICALS & THEATRE

As a kid Nanne loved acting, singing and dancing whenever she got the chance in school or for family and friends. She started as a professional artist 1985, but it wasn’t until 2003 she got her first acting role. It was in the musical “How To Succeed in Business Withohut Really Trying”, as the secretary Smitty. After that she got the leading role in Sweet Charity, followed by the comedy Boeing Boeing, where she also played the leading part Mirelle, with gender roles switched from the original movie and play.

In 2014 she switched from the happy role characters to the vicious mrs Danvers in the thriller musical Rebecca, that once was filmed and directed by Alfred Hitchcock based on the book with the same name. Two years later she appeared again in an evil role, this time as the queen and witch in the musical Snow white. The musical was played for full houses both in Stockholm and on tour around in Sweden.

In 2018 she played the drunken principle of an orphanage, who hates kids but loves men and booze. The swedish comedy legend Eva Rydberg directed the musical and Nanne was so happy to finally get an opportunity to work together with one of her favourite swedish comedians. Nanne considered this one of her greatest role challenges, with both playing drunk on stage and at the same time keeping it funny comedy wise and loved learning so much from Eva.

The reviews for Nannes roles throughout the years has been overwhelming and she has been nominated for Guldmasken (“Tony award”) for several of her roles.
